2017: what a year!

2017-12-12 13.53.17

I have finished 2017 with a series of very nice concerts: 2 in the Netherlands in lovely theaters in Amsterdam and The Hague, and a few others in Copenhagen including Café Delight and Irish Rover. The following video shows a few extracts from the concert at the Torpedo theater in Amsterdam.

2017 has been a spectacular year for me: I have participated in 4 listening room songwriting retreats and written 15 new songs, including 4 in French. I have played 41 concerts in 6 different countries (Netherlands, USA, Italy, Denmark, Greenland, Sweden). I have been on tour in California in January and also in Arizona and New Mexico in June and participated in the Arctic Sounds Festival in Sisimiut in Greenland! Very different landscapes!! In addition, I have quit my job, sold my apartment, found a new job, moved to Copenhagen and bought a new apartment. What a year!! Whoohoo!! :-)

I wish you all a great holiday season, lots of love and sharing and I’ll see you in 2018!

    De ar Magali,
Wow! You are the gypsy girl of the year! All those concerts, all those songs, all those countries!!! Plus, quitting your job, moving, buying a new place! You go, girl! You are so amazing!!! Enjoy the sneak preview of your concert. Listened to it twice!
Hope you come back to Idyllwild again this summer! We would be so lucky if you did come back to perform for us again! :))) So Merry Christmas and a very Happy, healthy New Year too! I don’t know if 2018 can top the year you just had but I am sure you will do something spectacular!!!! You are AMAZING!!!! Love and hugs from sunny Idyllwild, Mary

Thank you so much Mary for your wonderful words.

I would love to come back to Idyllwild and share some of my songs. I am not sure if this will happen in 2018, but be sure that if I have the opportunity (e.g. in June around the Listening Room Retreat in Idyllwild), I will consider it very seriously!!!!! We’ll see. :-) (and maybe you’ll get the chance to see Brett in January during the California tour)

In the meantime, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! (from Paris where I am happily visiting my family).
